trying some new things technique-wise for portraits. trying some hands(which went better than expected), doing a b+w study, and doing a quick one not worrying about any detail(my eyes hurt after so much squinting)
first two come from deviantart, by mjranum_stock and coi_stock respectively. the last one's from an old hegre-art set i think.

I think I like the last one the most. Perhaps with a little more rendering on the eyes. The second one looks a little cartoonish but that being said I've not seen the reference.
Still, very inspiring.
