Keira Final

Though it's not as fully rendered as say, my de Niro piece, i've gotten this one to a point where i can stop fussing with it. It's tough ,as many caricaturists will tell you, to caricature a pretty woman. this was no exception, but everyone can be caricatured, you just have to find one little thing to mess with. although i recognized it too far into the process, Knightley has a really goofy looking grin that i couldn't quite capture from this angle. i initially decided to take a jab at her lantern jaw, equally difficult to capture. so this is a kind of amalgamation of those two characteristics. i feel it creates a pretty good likeness.

thanks for looking.

Interesting....

Kinda makes me think of the sculptures on the beaches of easter ISLAND....

With the long features I think making her look attractive is extra difficult. But, you've made a great attempt at it...

I think you might soften up the lips a little, make them a little more rounded and pillow-y. The eyes are spot on and I like the form and shape you've given the nose. Perhaps, if the shadows beneath her checks diffused a little more, the attractiveness would bump up a little bit more.

All things said, I like it and believe its a mighty daring set of shapes to work with. Most of my comments are just personal thoughts /preference and can be completely disregarded.

Besides, I like her better as a brunette.

i'am your fan buddy, BUT can i tell you that this don't looks like Keira still? Actually looks (a little) like Cindy Craford isn't it? I have not seen yet a cartoon of this girl which looks alike her. Very difficult face!

I know what you mean about caricaturing a beautiful woman. It's tough. I was watching Mad Men a couple of days ago and thought how to do January Jones, who plays the wife. I thought maybe exagerate the eyes or her eyebrows... or something.

Maybe you should try, I know you could pull it off.

here's a pic of Jones:
