Charcoal

Seems strange that this is the first time I've ever drawn with charcoal. Not too easy, but gives you some interesting organic mistakes that you wouldn't get with a more controllable medium. just an hour sketch from the last half of my drawing I class last night.

wow. First time? You need to bring out the kid in you and get dirty.

As for a critique (even though you didn't ask for one) I'd pay attention to the different surfaces you're drawing. Glass? Shiny? Gritty? All the objects in this study have the same finish.

thanks Matt! i appreciate the little critique.

actually, thinking of it, only the spheres had a different texture, they were styrofoam. all the others were painted flat white, kind a boring, good for practice though.

i'll see what i can do to add some more detail.
